what's therapy like?

I take a down-to-earth, kind, and compassionate approach. Therapy moves at your pace and is shaped by what you need. I use methods like CBT, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR to help people work through patterns that hold them back. Sensitive issues are always met with understanding and respect.

about me

I have many years of experience in NHS mental and physical health services as a nurse and therapist. I currently work as a clinical research therapist in psychedelics at King’s College London and have contributed to research published in The Lancet and The New England Journal of Medicine. I am also a group lead for the Maudsley Psychedelic Integration Society.

Session fees are offered on a sliding scale from £100 to £75 per 50-minutes. You are invited to consider whether your income is low, average, or high compared to others in your city or town, and choose an amount that feels manageable for you.I also accept AXA, Vitality and WPA health insurance.

emdr

EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that can help people heal from distressing and traumatic experiences, as well as phobias, insomnia and addictions.

group emdr

Group EMDR (G-TEP) is a structured, evidence-based approach that supports teams to process the impact of challenging or traumatic events. It helps reduce distress, strengthen resilience, and promote recovery in the aftermath of sudden loss, trauma, or ongoing exposure to traumatising events of materials. This method can be particularly valuable for organisations like the NHS, fire service, police, universities, tech companies and charities to help people cope with distress. From January 2026, I will be offering confidential, clinically grounded support for groups needing space to process and move forward.

guided self-help courses

I’m developing a range of guided self-help courses designed for people who struggle with difficult issues that are often faced alone. These online programmes combine psychological education with practical tools — offering structured support that’s more affordable, discreet and flexible than therapy, whilst still grounded in evidence-based approaches.Planned courses include:Manage the Health Anxiety Spiral – break free from endless checking, constant worry, and reclaim your calm.Freedom from Toilet Worries – overcome anxiety about urgency and accidents, and live life without constant worry. If you’d like to be notified when these courses launch, or to request a course on a specific topic, please get in touch and I’ll add you to my update list.
